Hypnosis is a truly natural state of mind and body, whereby the subconscious is opened up to communication.  By creating complete focus with the conscious brain the subconscious can be released to a heightened state of awareness.

Everyone of us is familiar with the conscious part of their brain as this is the part of us that we associate with what makes us 'tick' as a person, the bit that thinks, and the bit that chastises us late at night and stops us from sleeping.  It analyses our every thought word and deed.  However it is the subconscious that deals with the forgotten experiences and our deep rooted instincts, in order to protect our very survival.  In every day life the two parts of the brain work independently of each other both doing what they do best, and it is because of this, that often these two parts of the brain come into conflict with each other which is where problems may arise and create discomfort in the psyche.

Hypnosis aims at bringing both parts of the brain together allowing them to both focus completely and utterly on the same thing at the same time and therefore bringing them into alignment with each other.  It is whilst the two parts are working together in parallel that the therapy is used to make changes that are in line with the clients ethical and moral make up and so releasing any conflicts.  Because the conscious part of our brain is working with us in this way the hypnotised client is fully awake and aware of conscious thought , but you will always remain unaware of the subconscious processes and so there is no hypnotised sensation as such, however many people report feelings of a deep relaxed state that they have never witnessed previously.
